Grand Hotel Golden Bull (HU)

Congratulations to NAPUR Architect for winning the design competition for the restoration of the historic Grand Hotel Golden Bull in Debrecen!

Currently the landmark building, with a history, dating back to the 17th century, sits on the main plaza of the city, with only the left wing present, having a neighboring socialist building as a proxy for the "right wing"

Though a project of this magnitude certainly lures designers to rethink the facade, and give a contemporary touch to the development, NAPUR chose a radically conservative approach: to pay hommage to Alfred Hajos - architect of the original Art Nouveau building - and finish the "torso", creating symmetry that is so pleasing to the eye.
